Chris Wilke Memorial Scholarship

Students enrolled in or accepted to any Alberta post-secondary program may apply for the $500 Chris Wilke Memorial Scholarship from the Alberta Trappers' Association. Preference goes to ATA members, immediate family, or applicants from active trapping families, and to studies in environmental sciences, forestry, biology, or wildlife management. Awards are not based solely on grades.

Submit the ATA application and a 500- to 1,000-word essay on your views on furbearer management. One scholarship is awarded annually.

Chris Wilke, who died in 2009, supported wildlife education and helped the ATA prepare animal skulls for children's programs.
