About this scholarship

Chinese citizens applying to a full-time PhD program at Simon Fraser University who secure China Scholarship Council doctoral funding and meet the graduate program's academic and English requirements.

CSC provides a monthly stipend plus travel support. Once CSC support is confirmed, SFU provides a tuition waiver for up to 48 months.

Apply to the SFU PhD program by the department deadline or mid-January for Fall (whichever is earlier), then apply to CSC through your home university in China using the SFU offer. After CSC notifies success, send the award letter to gradawards@sfu.ca for the tuition waiver.
