About this scholarship
Chinese citizens planning full-time PhD study at Simon Fraser University who meet the graduate program's academic and English language requirements. Applicants living outside China should contact the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in Canada about how to apply.
The China Scholarship Council provides approximately $2,200 CAD per month plus travel. SFU adds a tuition waiver for up to 48 months once CSC support is confirmed.
Apply for SFU PhD admission by the department deadline or mid-January (whichever is earlier), then apply to CSC through your home university in China with the SFU offer. Send the CSC award letter to gradawards@sfu.ca for the tuition waiver.
