About this scholarship
Entering full-time PhD students in Liberal Arts programs at York University with a minimum admission average of A. Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person, an Ontario resident, and demonstrate financial need.
One award of up to $20,000 per year, renewable for up to three additional years (maximum four years) with satisfactory progress, continued eligibility, and demonstrated financial need.
Applicants must be nominated by their graduate program. Nomination packages are due to FGS by January 30, 2026. Complete an online Student Financial Profile; documentation typically includes a research statement, transcripts, two academic letters of recommendation, and a CV.
