About this scholarship
Students age 17 or older with a high school diploma or equivalent who are employed in or interested in a career as a commercial food equipment service technician or support staff may apply for CFESA Cares Scholarships.
Awards are up to $2,500 depending on the scholarship track, including the Service Hero Scholarship (education plus tools) and the Support Hero Scholarship (professional development resources).
Complete the CFESA scholarship application form with documentation showing your motivation, customer service orientation, leadership potential, and relevant experience.

- Show interest in or current employment within the commercial food equipment service industry
- Funds must be used toward a commercial food equipment service industry career
- Agree to be interviewed and recorded if selected
- Optional headshot upload (required within 3 business days if selected)
- Two scholarship tracks: Service Hero (up to $2,500 education + $1,000 Home Depot tools) and Support Hero ($2,500); both forms share the same five essay prompts
- Application terms: Spring opens March 1 / closes July 1; Fall opens September 1 / closes December 1
- Funds must be used toward a commercial food equipment service industry career.
- Selected recipients agree to be interviewed and recorded.
- Optional headshot upload becomes required within three business days if selected.
