About this scholarship
For full-time Toronto Metropolitan University master's students (first or second year) and PhD students in their final year whose research addresses migration or migrant integration. Recipients join the CERC Migration research community, including workspace access and research training activities.
Master's stipends are up to $10,000. PhD excellence completion stipends are up to $25,000 for the final year, with the expectation that the thesis is completed and graduation is applied for by the end of the funded year. Students who accept certain external or internal scholarships must decline the CERC stipend, though a top-up may be considered case by case.
Applications require a CV, transcript, and a CERC motivation letter (maximum 2 pages). Master's and PhD tracks have additional materials such as a writing sample, dissertation overview, and supervisor reference as applicable.
