CCCJ – John Lockwood Memorial Award

Full-time York University master's or doctoral students whose research focuses on cultural diversity or cross-cultural understanding in Canada may apply. Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons, Ontario residents, and must demonstrate financial need and academic excellence.

Up to one award of $3,750 is available (subject to change).

Apply through the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships (FAAS) system and complete the online Student Financial Profile. A research proposal, personal statement, CV, and transcript (most recent two years) are required.

The award honours John Lockwood (1913-1997), longtime member and Honourary Chairman of the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews, for his leadership in breaking down barriers of bigotry and discrimination.
