Cathy Hopper Memorial Scholarship

California college or university students who graduated from a San Diego County public high school and are pursuing a teaching credential, master's in education, or student teaching toward a K-12 public school teaching career in California may apply. Applicants need a 3.0+ GPA, demonstrated community service, and financial need.

Awards average about $5,000, with typically 7 to 9 recipients. Funds may cover tuition, books, fees, room and board, and other education expenses. The scholarship may be renewable for up to two years total if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA, good citizenship, and financial need.
