About this scholarship

Laurentian University Engineering students who are members of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (CIM) or the child or legal dependant of a certified CIM member may apply. You must be in good academic standing, demonstrate financial need, and meet Ontario residency as defined by OSAP.

The bursary is $1,150. Submit a Laurentian application plus a one-page minimum essay on the role CIM plays in serving the mining industry.

The Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy established this fund to support engineering students connected to the mining profession.
