Canada Research Training Awards Suite – Research Travel Supplements (CRTAS-RTS)

Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or Protected Persons who hold or have accepted an active CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC master's or doctoral award (including Vanier CGS) and have not previously held a CGS-MSFSS or CRTAS-RTS may apply for research travel support. The non-renewable supplement is $9,000 for 2 to 6 months of research travel (outside Canada if the base award is held in Canada).

University of Ottawa students apply through the relevant federal agency portal; contact Financial Aid and Awards for institutional signature on Part 6. Primary deadline is June 10; a second intake may open October 10 if funds remain.
