Canada Research Training Awards Suite – Research Travel Supplements (CRTAS-RTS)

Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons who hold an active CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC master's or doctoral award (including a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship). Applicants must begin proposed research travel on or after the application deadline, must not have held a Canada Graduate Scholarships - Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplement, and may hold a CRTAS-RTS only once.

Each supplement is up to $9,000 for two to six months of research travel within or outside Canada. Supplements are awarded first-come, first-served.

CRTAS-RTS replaces the former CGS Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplement program.
