About this scholarship

Eligible doctoral researchers apply through CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC under the harmonized Canada Graduate Research Scholarship - Doctoral (CGRS D) program. Applicants must meet the official CGRS D eligibility criteria and submit through the correct agency portal (or via Waterloo when required).

The scholarship is valued at $40,000 a year for three years. Waterloo recipients are also eligible for the President's Graduate Scholarship.
