About this scholarship
Current California law school students (1L through 3L) with a demonstrated commitment or interest in disability rights and inclusion in the legal profession may apply for this $5,000 award. One scholarship is awarded annually; funds are paid directly to the recipient for tuition, fees, books, housing, or related educational expenses. Email a complete application with two 500-word essays (how disability influenced your legal career goals, and actions that could increase disability inclusion in law) to the designated contact by September 1. Recipients agree that Disability Rights Now may use their name, photo, and essay excerpts for promotional purposes. Disability Rights Now funds the award to expand opportunities for people with disabilities in the legal profession.
