About this scholarship
The Cuban American Bar Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Cuban American Bar Association, awards scholarships annually to law students across the United States. In 2025 it awarded $75,000 to 24 law students, with individual awards of $2,500 and $3,500 paid directly to recipients.
Applicants must be either a law student of Cuban heritage who has distinguished themselves academically or in service-oriented activities, or any law student distinguished in research, writing, community service, or other activities of importance to the Cuban-American community. All applicants must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing at an accredited law school. The committee reviews academics, community service, references, a personal essay, and financial need.
At-large applications are due by May 1 each year, with recipients announced at the fall reception in Miami.
