About this scholarship
Full-time master's or doctoral students at the University of Toronto registered in a thesis-based program whose research focuses on activism by populations traditionally thought of as mad, or on radical mad perspectives or mad studies, may apply. Professional programs without a thesis are ineligible. Domestic and international students are eligible. SGS awards about eight scholarships per year at $15,000 each for one year; if the program is funded, the scholarship is in addition to normal funding.
