About this scholarship

Canadian citizens or permanent residents whose first official language spoken is English, who completed high school in English or a non-official language, and who are enrolled full-time at McMaster University in a French-delivered program may apply for the Bursaries for Postsecondary Studies in French as a Second Language. Recipients must take at least 50% of their courses and related community activities in French. Students whose first official language is French, graduates of French-language secondary schools, international students, and refugees are not eligible. Special consideration is given to students facing financial challenges and those from under-represented groups.

The bursary is a non-renewable $3,000 award, funded by the Government of Canada and administered by the ACUFC. Apply through AwardSpring when the form is available for the relevant academic year.
