About this scholarship

Minnesota residents who work at an AMPERS member radio station, or who plan to pursue broadcast communications, radio, or creative media through an institution of higher education, may apply.

Ampers awards one $1,000 Bryan Petersen Memorial Scholarship, paid directly to the winner's school toward tuition.

Apply by June 30. The scholarship honors Bryan Petersen, a community activist who helped build Fresh Air Radio (KFAI) in Minneapolis and supported Latin American refugees, housing, and community theater.
