About this scholarship

Current or incoming undergraduates who will enroll at a U.S. or Canadian college or university (including international students at those schools) may apply for the BrightSprout Crossword Scholarship.

One winner receives a $1,000 tuition scholarship paid to their school, plus a free lifetime My Crossword Maker subscription. Finalists and semi-finalists also receive lifetime subscriptions.

Instead of an essay, create an original 15x15 newspaper-style crossword on My Crossword Maker under the My Hobby/Interest theme, email BrightSprout to unlock publishing for free, publish the puzzle, and submit the application form. Standard-style puzzles are not accepted. Previous winners are ineligible to win again.
