About this scholarship

Open to outstanding orthopaedic surgery residents who undertake a leave from training to complete an advanced degree (master's or doctoral) and a significant research project.

The award amount varies. It is endowed in memory of Dr. Brett Kilb.

Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Department of Orthopaedics. There is no separate application.

Brett Kilb joined the UBC Department of Orthopaedics as a resident in 2012 and passed away unexpectedly in 2016.
