About this scholarship

Women over age 25 who are former graduates of any U.S. high school or GED holders and demonstrate financial need may apply for the Brenda Brown DeSatnick Memorial Scholarship through the Lincoln Community Foundation. One $800 award is offered annually.

Preference goes to Lancaster County, Nebraska residents. Applicants should plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college, community college, or trade school and show interest in becoming self-supporting. Submit the foundation application during the open period.

The scholarship is one of more than 90 funds the Lincoln Community Foundation administers for Nebraska students.
