About this scholarship
San Diego County high school seniors nominated by a coach, teacher, counselor, or principal who have overcome drug- or alcohol-related personal obstacles, demonstrate athletic participation, and plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college may apply.
The San Diego Sports Association awards at least seven $7,500 scholarships for the first year of college, with a possible second $7,500 award in year two for recipients who maintain good academic standing. Awards may cover tuition, books, and on-campus housing and include a laptop.
Submit the nomination form, transcript, and recommendation letter by February 13. The scholarship honors Brad Fowler.
