About this scholarship

Students pursuing an MLS or advanced degree who plan to work in library service for children through age 14 may apply through the ALA Scholarship Program.

Four recipients each receive an $8,000 annual award funded by Bound to Stay Bound Books through ALSC.

Complete the BTSB Scholarship application online between September 1 and March 1, including documentation of enrollment or acceptance into an MLS or advanced degree program. Open to applicants planning to serve children in any type of library.

  • Award is renewable annually.
