About this scholarship

Awarded annually at Osgoode Hall Law School to the JD student who writes the best paper in the course or seminar Law and Religion in Legal, Social and Political Contexts (or a successor course on substantially the same topic). If the course is not offered in a given year, the prize may be awarded as an essay prize on law, religion, and human rights or equality. Students may submit papers with a letter from the relevant faculty member attesting to the paper's quality. The Student Awards Committee may choose not to award the prize if no essay is sufficiently outstanding.

The award amount varies.

The Office of Student Services announces availability to students and faculty when the essay-prize route applies.
