About this scholarship
Canadian citizens or permanent residents entering any direct-entry program at the University of Manitoba who have a high school average of at least 90 percent on eligible courses, and who demonstrate leadership potential, communication skills, community involvement, and special abilities beyond academics. Recipients must present a minimum 90 percent average on courses eligible for General Entrance Scholarships.
Nine awards valued at $16,000 each ($4,000 per year for four years): six for graduates of high schools in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario, and three at the national level for graduates of Canadian high schools outside Manitoba. Separate Indigenous awards are offered through the BMO Indigenous Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships.
Complete a University of Manitoba Direct-Entry admission application and the BMO Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship application in the Undergraduate Application portal by December 1, including three recommendation letters (principal, teacher or counsellor, and community member) and payment of the admission application fee.
