About this scholarship

Legally blind Illinois residents age 18 or older in Cook, DuPage, Will, Lake, McHenry, or Kane counties who are attending or planning to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school may apply for scholarships from Blind Service Chicago.

Awards are up to $4,000. Selection considers academic merit, community service, and financial need.

Submit a transcript, state ID, two recommendation letters, a personal statement, a recent eye report, and a completed application by April 15. Personal interviews are required.
