Black at Microsoft Scholarship

U.S. high school seniors of African descent with at least a 3.0 GPA who plan full-time undergraduate study at a four-year U.S. college in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or select business majors (business administration, finance, or marketing) may apply for the Blacks at Microsoft Scholarship.

Up to 55 awards are offered, ranging from $2,500 one-time awards to renewable $5,000 awards worth up to $15,000 over three years. Selection weighs academics, leadership, financial need, and passion for technology.

Apply through Scholarship America with a transcript, one letter of recommendation on school letterhead, and an essay of up to 500 words on your plans to engage in the technology industry.
