Bing Thom Scholarship

Outstanding UBC Vancouver students enrolled in the Master of Architecture program may be considered.

Variable scholarships are funded through an endowment established by the Thom family, friends, and fellow architects in memory of Bing Thom (1940-2016).

Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.

Bing Thom (B.Arch. 1966) founded Bing Thom Architects in 1982 and received the 2011 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Gold Medal. His urban design work included SFU Central City in Whalley, BC and major projects in Fort Worth, Texas and beyond.
