Billy Smith Memorial Scholarship

Graduating high school baseball or softball players from Winnebago, Boone, Ogle, or Stephenson County, Illinois, who have played at least three years including senior year and plan to major in a sports-related field in college may apply through the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois.

Award amounts vary. Academic performance receives high priority in selection.

Answer the essay prompt on why you are the best candidate, discussing achievements, leadership, community involvement, or obstacles overcome. Apply through the CFNIL universal application from December 1 through February 1.
