Bill MacAloney Legacy Scholarship

High school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students who are employees of a California Grocers Association member company, or dependents of such employees, may apply. The employee must have worked for a CGA member company since April 1, 2025, maintain a California work location (with limited exceptions), and still be employed there when awards are announced.

One CGAEF application (program key CGA), accepted January 1 through April 1, evaluates eligibility for all foundation scholarships for which the student qualifies, including the $1,000 Bill MacAloney Legacy Scholarship. Awards are one-time and applied to educational expenses at an accredited U.S. college or university. Selection is based on academic merit, character, and leadership.

The California Grocers Association Educational Foundation has awarded millions in scholarships to member-company employees and their dependents since 1998.
