About this scholarship
Women pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics may apply for the BHW Group Women in STEM Scholarship.
One recipient receives $3,000. Applications open in January and are due April 15; the winner is announced May 15.
Apply with an essay of 500 to 800 words on either your favorite app and what you like about it, or a time an app played a significant role in improving your day.

- Open to women pursuing undergraduate or master's degrees
- Must major in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)
- Enrolled at US-based schools (international students allowed if attending a US institution)
- High school juniors/seniors eligible if attending college next year; post-grad, second-degree, master's, and doctorate students eligible
- Choose ONE of the two essay prompts; essay must be 500-800 words (formal or informal tone)
- Submit name, email, phone number, school name, major, the essay, and a photo of the applicant
- Award is $3,000 disbursed directly to the winner's school
- Application window: opens January 1st, deadline April 15th
- Provide name, email, phone number, school name, and major.
- Award is paid directly to the recipient's school.
