Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Award for Extended Degree Students

Open to domestic UBC Vancouver students who identify as Black, have previously received a Beyond Tomorrow Scholars award in each of their four years of study, and need financial assistance to complete an extended degree. Recipients must be academically qualified and would not be able to attend without financial assistance. Consideration is also given to leadership, community service, and extracurricular achievement. Recipients can receive this award only once during their studies.

Award amounts vary. One-time awards are funded by an endowment from the estate of Bernard W. Hoeschen (1940–2020).

There is no separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Awards Committee in consultation with the Vice-President, Students Office.
