Doctoral candidates living outside the Richmond metro area who conduct business, economic, or related research using Virginia Museum of History & Culture collections may apply for Betty Sams Christian Fellowships.
Short-term library residencies last one to two weeks, with support of up to $1,000 per week for more distant researchers ($500 per week for local researchers). Apply through the museum's Mellon fellowship program process.
