About this scholarship

Undergraduate U.S. citizens or permanent residents with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, or a related inherited bleeding disorder may apply for the Beth Carew Memorial Scholarship through the Colburn-Keenan Foundation. Applicants must have community service or volunteer experience outside of school and be entering or attending an accredited two- or four-year U.S. college for a first bachelor's degree.

Award amounts vary. Past recipients may reapply until they have received four awards. Scholarships are not renewable.

High school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors may apply, including students resuming a degree after a gap. Submit the application with required documentation through the foundation.

The scholarship honors Beth Carew, one of the few women diagnosed with hemophilia A, who died in 1994.
