About this scholarship

Advanced sociology Ph.D. students (preferably at the dissertation stage) who began study at a U.S. community college or technical school for at least one full academic year may apply for the Beth B. Hess Memorial Scholarship through Sociologists for Women in Society.

SWS awards $18,000 for the academic year plus meeting travel support. Apply through the SWS Member Portal by April 1.
