About this scholarship
Incoming Lutheran men enrolling at Iowa State University may apply for the Darryl Jahn Memorial Scholarship from the Beta Sigma Psi Ames Alumni Chapter. There is no requirement to join the fraternity.
Up to three $2,000 awards are granted annually to applicants who best exemplify Beta Sigma Psi ideals through scholastic achievement and leadership in academics, sports, church, and community service. Top candidates are invited to Iowa State for an interview.
Complete the application with personal and educational information, detail your community and church involvement, and submit the required essay or personal statement. Applications are accepted in February, April, and July.

- Award: two or three scholarships awarded annually (historically ~$2,000 each)
- Top candidates are invited to Iowa State University for an interview.
- Membership in Beta Sigma Psi is not required.
