About this scholarship
New and continuing UC Berkeley undergraduates who meet Academic Senate GPA thresholds and demonstrate financial need are automatically considered for the Berkeley Undergraduate Scholarship. California residents and AB 540 eligible students entering from high school need a weighted 4.1 GPA; those entering from community college or continuing students need an unweighted 3.5 GPA.
Award amounts vary based on each student's level of financial need. More than 2,500 students receive this scholarship annually.
Prospective students must complete the UC Application for Freshman or Transfer Admission and Scholarships plus the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application. Continuing students file the FAFSA or CADAA each year.
