About this scholarship
Underserved and underrepresented law students admitted to participating Bay Area ABA-accredited law schools who can demonstrate financial need may apply through the Justice and Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco. Eligible schools include UC Berkeley, Stanford, UC Law San Francisco, Santa Clara University, and the University of San Francisco.
Scholarships are generally $10,000 per year and may be renewable for multiple years with continued eligibility. The number of awards varies.
Submit a complete application packet for review. Recipients must maintain enrollment and good academic standing each semester and provide proof of enrollment, academic standing, and financial need to receive funds.
Since 1998, the program has supported minority law students in the Bay Area legal community through JDC and BASF.
