About this scholarship
Students accepted to a U.S. four-year college or university who have been personally affected by mesothelioma, whether as a patient, survivor, or family member, may apply for Baron & Budd's Mesothelioma Cancer Victims Memorial Scholarship by July 9.
Two $2,500 awards are offered annually, one for the top video and one for the top essay. Applicants submit either an 800 to 1,250 word essay or a 2 to 3 minute YouTube video, plus two recommendation letters and proof of enrollment.
Baron & Budd established the scholarship to raise awareness of cancer's impact while supporting affected students.
