Barbara Peat Memorial Award in Chemical and Biological Engineering

Female Bachelor of Applied Science students at UBC Vancouver specializing in Chemical and Biological Engineering with outstanding academic achievement may be nominated for these awards. Preference goes to students actively involved in a student team or club, and financial need may be considered.

Awards of varying amounts are endowed in memory of Barbara Peat (1957-2015) by George Peat (B.A.Sc. 1976), friends, and family. Barbara Peat was one of two women in her graduating class and was eager to support women studying engineering. No separate application is required; the department makes recommendations.
