About this scholarship
District of Columbia residents completing high school (or transferring from a technical or community college) who will enter a NAAB-accredited architecture degree program as freshmen may apply for the Barbara G. Laurie Scholarship by May 1.
One renewable award provides $5,000 per year for up to five years while the recipient remains in good standing in an architecture program. Selection weighs interest in architecture, academic performance, extracurricular activities, drawing ability, and financial need.
AIA|DC and the Washington Architectural Foundation administer the award.
