Balvinder Bajwa Memorial Award in Oncology

Open to fourth-year M.D. students who demonstrate financial need and interest in oncology. Preference goes to students matched to an oncology residency.

The award amount varies. It is endowed in memory of Balvinder Bajwa through gifts from friends, family, and colleagues.

Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine. There is no separate application.

Balvinder Bajwa immigrated to Canada from New Delhi in 1996 and passed away after a battle with metastatic breast cancer.
