About this scholarship
Low-income Texas residents aged 17 to 25 pursuing a first associate or bachelor's degree at a Texas public college in STEM or business may apply for BAFTX undergraduate funding by March 31 at 12 p.m.
Award amounts vary. Funding is sent directly to the college for Fall semester tuition and college-related expenses. Applicants need a 3.0 GPA (current college students) or 3.5 GPA (high school seniors), plus a redacted IRS Form 1040, transcript, FAFSA or TAFSA, and a 400 to 450 word essay for first-time applicants.
Recipients must attend an awards dinner in Houston.
