About this scholarship
Students pursuing a two- or four-year engineering or technical degree in welding or cutting fields, such as mechanical, software, process, or electrical engineering, may apply through the AWS Foundation. Applicants must be in their final year of high school or hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have a minimum 2.8 GPA. AWS membership is not required. One $2,500 award is granted annually.
Awards cover tuition and fees only and are paid directly to the academic institution.
The Barbara and Richard Couch Hypertherm Scholarship is funded through the AWS Foundation, which supports welding industry education and workforce development.
