About this scholarship
Indigenous students (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis) enrolled in a health-related program at UBC Vancouver who demonstrate an interest in improving the health of Indigenous people may apply. The award is open to undergraduate and graduate students.
Awards totalling $1,500 are made available annually; amounts vary.
Students apply through the Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health's annual student awards competition. The application includes a form outlining the student's program, educational goals, and interest in improving Indigenous health, a statement of intent, and recent grades. Recipients are selected on the recommendation of the Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health.
