About this scholarship
Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled full-time in a master's or doctoral program at an Ontario university can apply for the Autism Scholars Awards, which support graduate research on child autism.
Up to two master's awards of $18,000 and up to three doctoral awards are offered. Recipients must remain full-time for the award term and generally cannot hold another award over $30,000 in the same year.
Apply with a research statement (up to 1,000 words), a non-technical summary (up to 500 words), CV, transcripts, and two confidential reference letters. Applications go through the Ontario university where the student intends to hold the award; U of T endorses nominees to the Council of Ontario Universities.
The program was established with support from Ontario's Ministry of Colleges and Universities to build research capacity in autism diagnosis, assessment, and treatment.
