About this scholarship
College sophomores or juniors studying media or a related field at a university within 40 miles of Austin may apply. Students at other colleges who graduated from an Austin-area high school and maintain a permanent Austin address are also considered. Applicants need 45 or more college credit hours, at least a 3.25 overall GPA or 3.0 in major courses, and full-time enrollment in radio, television, film, digital media, public relations, advertising, marketing, communications, journalism, or broadcasting.
One recipient receives $5,000 for undergraduate tuition only, administered through the recipient's financial aid office.
Submit an application with an official transcript and two reference letters by March 1 at 6 PM. The winner attends the Trailblazer Awards Gala in April.
AWM Austin supports women pursuing media careers in the Austin area.
