Aurel Chanady Scholarship in Medicine

For outstanding MD students in the Island Medical Program. Preference is given to students with an interest in pursuing a career in family practice.

Scholarships are offered through an endowment at the University of Victoria in memory of Aurel Chanady. Award amounts vary.

There is no separate application. Scholarships are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine.

Aurel was a doctor in his native Hungary who practiced chiropracty in Nanaimo for over thirty years. The endowment was established by his wife Adele Chanady.
