About this scholarship

Graduating high school seniors who are permanent residents of 14 designated North Carolina counties and plan first-time full-time enrollment at NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, or UNC-Greensboro may apply through CFNC.

Up to $12,000 per academic year is available across 17 scholarships, renewable with continued financial need and academic progress. First-year scholars also receive a one-time $2,500 computer stipend. Submit the application, transcript, test scores, and FAFSA by March 1.

  • Eligible applicants are interviewed by each county's committee
