About this scholarship
High school, college, and graduate students worldwide may enter the Ayn Rand Institute's free Atlas Shrugged essay contest. Write an original English essay between 800 and 1,600 words responding to contest prompts; one essay per contest season.
Nine cash prizes are awarded per round: two first-place prizes of $3,000, three second-place prizes of $2,000, and three third-place prizes of $1,000. Seasonal first-place winners may compete for an annual grand prize of up to $25,000. School enrollment verification is required for winners.
