About this scholarship
Alberta Teachers' Association members with a permanent Alberta teaching certificate, at least five years of successful K-12 teaching in Alberta, and highest-level ATA membership may apply when entering or in the first year of full-time doctoral study in education at a recognized public university in Alberta or Canada. Applicants must intend to continue a career in K-12 public education in Alberta and must not have received an ATA fellowship before.
Up to two $15,000 fellowships are paid in two instalments. Selection considers academic achievement, ATA contribution, and teaching excellence in Alberta's public schools.
